DENVER – This year, students at Chesterbrook Academy raised money to give back to the Make-A-Wish Foundation to make a local child’s wish come true. At the Annual Jingle Bell Jam, the students who donated the most money had the opportunity to cut off Principal Jaclynn Johnson’s hair to donate to Locks of Love.

Students Quinn McCabe and Parker Otey donated a combined $450 to Make-A-Wish. They each cut off one of Johnson’s pigtails, and Johnson donated 11 inches of hair to Locks of Love. As a school, Chesterbrook raised almost $2,000 for the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Combined with its sister schools, they have raised almost $5,000 to date for Make-A-Wish.

“This was such a heartwarming experience to be able to give back to the community and make a child’s wish come true,” Johnson wrote in an email. “It was amazing to see all of our families come together to donate to such a wonderful foundation.”
