Herbert Vollmann

DENVER – Herbert “Herb” Eugene Vollmann, 81, of Denver died Jan. 4, 2023.

He was born Aug. 22, 1941, in New York, N.Y., to the late John and Cecilie Vollmann.

He was an architect.

He is survived by his wife, Priscilla; and sons, Christopher and Darren.

A service was held Jan. 8 at Denver Baptist Church.

Memorials may be made to Hospice of Lincoln County.



Jean Lightbown Persell

DENVER – Jean Carol Lightbown Persell, 72, of Denver died Dec. 21, 2022.

She was born Oct. 19, 1950, in Bethesda, Md., to the late Edward and Helen Lightbown.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her nephew, Bobby Lightbown Jr.

She retired from AT&T.

She is survived by her husband, Larry Persell; son, Cliff Owens; daughter, Kim Lewis and husband, Louis; grandchildren, Abigail Lewis, Erika Lewis, Peyton Lewis and Tanner Lewis; sister, Barbra Brady; brother Eddie and his wife, JoAnn Lightbown; and brother, Bobby Lightbown; cousin, Janet Brown; and several nieces and nephews. 

A service was held Dec. 26 at LKN Vineyard Church.

Memorial contributions are encouraged to be made to a charitable cancer organization of your choice in her memory.



Michael Lynn Dickerson

DENVER – Michael “Mike” Lynn Dickerson, 63, of Denver Dec. 19, 2022.

He was born Oct. 1, 1959, in Pomona, Calif., to the late Nathaniel and Lora Stoner Dickerson. He was recently retired from Freightliner.

He is survived by his son, Jonathan Dickerson; brothers, Steven Dickerson, Kevin Dickerson and Mark Dickerson; and grandchildren, Willow, Nathaniel and Isaiah.

The family will be honoring his wishes by not having an official service.
