Fred Reynolds

DENVER – Fred Reynolds, 86, of Denver, died March 27, 2022.

He was born Oct. 6, 1935, in Lincoln County, to the late Gus and Mary Lee Reynolds.

He was a shift supervisor with Hickory Springs, GS Fibers and Southern Friction Materials. After he retired, he worked at the Lincolnton-Lincoln County Airport.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by siblings, Richard Reynolds, Archie Reynolds, Grace Bell, Bill Reynolds and Ned Reynolds.

He is survived by his wife, Wanda; children, Debbie Bandy and husband, Allen, David Reynolds, and wife, Bridget, and Duane Reynolds and Kathy Walston; five grandchildren; and seven nieces and nephews.

Services were held March 30 at Denver United Methodist Church.

Bobbie Jo Hargett Ridenhour

DENVER – Bobbie Jo Hargett Ridenhour, 86, of Denver, died March 27, 2022.

She was born Aug. 31, 1935, in Mecklenburg County, to the late Lester Madison Hargett and Grace Herron Hargett.

She retired from SMTC of Charlotte where she worked as a computer board technician.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by brothers, Arvin Hargett, Odean Hargett, and Marlin Hargett; and sisters, Ruby McLeod, Dorothy Shook, and Arzell Rankin.

She is survived by her husband, Robert Loyd Ridenhour; sons, Robert Loyd Ridenhour Jr. and wife, Claudia, and Jimmy Wayne Ridenhour and wife, Teena; daughters, Dawn Renee Simpson and Grace Rippy and husband, Tony; brother, Carl Hargett; nine grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Services were held March 31, 2022, at Westport Baptist Church.

Alvin Wilson Jones

IRON STATION – Alvin Wilson Jones, 80, of Iron Station, died March 23, 2022.

He was born Aug. 12, 1941, in Lincoln County, to the late Earl Jones and Corene Senter Jones.  He worked as a supervisor in shipping.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Jimmy Jones.

He is survived by his wife, Mabel Moody Jones; sons, Kenneth Jones and wife, Natasha, Jeff Jones and wife, Emily, and Johnny Jones; sister, Barbara Jones; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Services were held March 28 at Lincoln Avenue Baptist Church.

Karen Miller Wilkinson Stallings

MAIDEN – Karen Miller Wilkinson Stallings, 59, Maiden, died March 22, 2022.

She was born Oct. 29, 1962, to the late Robert Alberta Miller and Betty Lou Nantz Miller.

She worked in healthcare.

She is survived by her husband, Gregory Scott Stallings; sons, William Tyler Miller and Makale Robert Miller; brother, Tony Robinson, and wife, Melanie; sister, Sandi Robinson Armstrong; and many nieces and nephews.

Services were held March 28 at Iron Station United Methodist Church.

Gerald Joseph Pizi

DENVER – Gerald “Jerry” Joseph Pizi, 84, of Denver died March 21, 2022.

He was born July 12, 1937, in Cannonsburg, Pa., to the late Navio and Jane Ferlise Pizi.

He was a U.S. Air Force veteran and worked at International Nickel.

In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his wife, Amy.

Survivors include his children, David and wife, Julie, Tony and wife, Jennifer, Michael and wife, Kim, and Joan and husband, Brian; sister-in-law, Maria Oliver; aunt, Lucy Ferlise Socha; uncle, John Ferlise; seven grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren.

Services were held March 24 at Warlick Funeral Home and Wallace Funeral Home in Barboursville, WV.
