Early voting has begun in Mecklenburg County for the 2022 primary elections.
It will run seven days a week until Saturday, May 14, before Election Day May 17. There are two locations in north Mecklenburg County:
• Cornelius Town Hall, 21445 Catawba Ave., Cornelius
• North County Library, 16500 Holly Crest Lane, Huntersville
The polls are open weekdays from 8 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturdays and 1-4 p.m. Sundays.
Voters will choose the Democratic or Republican candidates for the general election in November, including for U.S. Senate and House of Representatives, N.C. Senate and house and Mecklenburg County Sheriff. For a sample ballot, visit www.mecknc.gov/BOE.
