MOORESVILLE – During April, the Mooresville Public Library will sponsor its Community Reads program with a self-care theme, “Take Care of You.” A selection of nonfiction books focused on acceptance, encouragement, healing, mindfulness and motivation will be featured, in addition to Young Adult fiction books focused on loss, mental illness and suicide.

Individual reading will be supplemented by a trail walk on Tuesday, April 26, where readers and library staff members will join each other on the trail at North Main Park at 10 a.m., to share thoughts on the Community Reads book selections and get some outdoor exercise.

There will also be an indoor discussion at the library, 304 S. Main St., Thursday, April 28, at 6:30 p.m., for adults and teens to share thoughts regarding the month’s selections of “The Comfort Book,” “Think Like a Monk” and “Rebound: From Pain to Passion.”
