James Albert Corvino

CHARLOTTE – James Albert Corvino, 61, died March 29, 2020, in Charlotte.

He was born March 27, 1959, Milford, Conn.

He worked for Wells Fargo Bank.

Survivors include his wife, Michaeleen Kelley Corvino; and brother, Paul Corvino Jr. and wife, Joanne.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Alvina and Albert Caruso, and paternal grandparents, Mary and Francis Corvino.

Services will be announced at a future date.

Ricardo Emilio Lessey

CORNELIUS – Ricardo “Rick” Emilio Lessey, 73, died March 27, 2020, at his home.

He was born Aug. 1, 1946, in Panama to the late Lloyd and Lestina Lessey.

He was a U.S. Army veteran and managed the brokerage department at First Union Bank.

He also was preceded in death by his wife, Gladys Lessey.

Survivors include his sons, Ricky and Jonathan of Cornelius; brother, Aurelio Lessey; sister, Gloria Lessey-Cummings; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. April 2 at Northlake Memorial Gardens.

Daniel Joseph Ripoll

HUNTERSVILLE – Daniel Joseph Ripoll, 86, died March 26, 2020, at his home.

He was born April 6, 1933, to the late Raymond and Florence Ripoll.

He was a U.S. Air Force veteran and worked in transportation for New York City.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Celia Medina, and brother, Raymond Ripoll.

Survivors include his wife, Helvetia; sons, Daniel Ripoll and wife, Santa, of Huntersville, and Michael Ripoll and wife, Loretta, of Mooresville; sisters, Deborah Greulich and husband, William, and Lydia Ripoll; nine grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.

Services were held March 29 at James Funeral Home. Burial was at Salisbury National Cemetery.

Luanna Bel Fiol

CHARLOTTE – Luanna Bel Fiol, 43, died March 21, 2020, at Novant Health Harris Hospice.

She was born Aug. 12, 1976, in Trinidad and Tobago to Milton Danglad and Susanne Henry.

She served in the Trinidad and Tobago Foreign Service and was a Family Nurse Practitioner.

She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Isabel Henry.

Survivors include her parents; husband, Albert Venning Fiol Jr. and children, Chloe, Bryce and Arielle; mother-in-law, Verneather B. Collins, father-in-law, Albert Venning Fiol; five sisters in-law; and four brothers in-law

Paul Stephen Petrucci

HUNTERSVILLE – Paul Stephen Petrucci, 44, died March 20, 2020.

He was born Feb. 14, 1976, in Lowell, Mass., to Anthony “Tony” and Christine Brady Petrucci.

He was the audit director at AIG in Charlotte and also worked for Lowe’s and Petco.

Survivors include his father, Tony and wife, Linda Petrucci; mother, C.Christine Petrucci and husband, Bob Jesurum; wife, Erica McWain Petrucci; daughters, Sofia and Emily; grandmother, Pauline Kavanagh and husband, Jerry; sisters, Elaina Petrucci Gunn and Jessica Petrucci; and step-siblings, Alex Jesurum and wife, Deborah, David Jesurum and wife, Pamela Tames, and Esther Jesurum and husband, Jeff Brown.

James Harold McCallum

CHARLOTTE – James Harold McCallum, 89, died March 18, 2020, in Charlotte.

He was born Feb 8, 1931, to the late Hubert and Pauline McCallum.

He was a U.S. Army veteran and worked in the construction industry.

He also was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn McCallum; brother, Hubert, and sister, Marion Heath.

Survivors include his sister, Carolyn Pinkard; and brothers, Glenn “Butch” McCallum, William McCallum and David McCallum.

Services were held March 23 at Mt. Zion Community Cemetery.
